This is my exemplary Mamie Taylor Cocktail formula! It is another to me drink, yet a work of art!
Did you realize that Mamie Taylor was a drama artist around the turn of the twentieth century? I didn't either. This is a genuinely new mixed drink for me. One story goes that she requested that a barkeep compose this mixed drink. It resembles a scotch highball!
Another story is that she requested a wine/lemon type drink yet the barkeep couldn't consent so he composed this for her and she cherished it. The rest is history. Pause. Is it truly history if there are various adaptations of stories going around?

Ingredients
- 2 ounces scotch
- 3/4 ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice
- 4 ounces ginger beer
- Garnish and glassware
- 1 wedge lime
- Collins glass or
- double old fashioned
Instructions
- Fill the glass with ice
- Add scotch, lime and gingerbeer
- Stir and squeeze lime wedge into glass
- Lift glass
- Sip
- Smile
